Marijuana might make you feel more relaxed, but a new study suggests it puts your heart under stress.
Researchers checked records from a French network measuring drug abuse and dependence and found people who smoked pot had an increased risk of cardiovascular problems before they turn 50.
Over a five-year period, nearly 2,000 cases of marijuana abuse were reported in France. 35 of those had cardiovascular problems. Nine patients died and 20 had heart attacks, even though the average age of the patients was 34.
